At Lost Coast Therapy Dogs, we dedicate ourselves to training dogs and their owners to become certified therapy companions, offering emotional support and comfort in diverse environments such as hospitals, schools, and assisted living facilities. Our Vision
Studies indicate that therapy dogs play a crucial role in promoting healing and well-being, offering invaluable emotional support and compassion to those facing difficult moments. At present, we are 38 dogs away from reaching our annual goal of certifying 50 dogs, which is essential to meet the growing demand in Humboldt County and its neighboring regions.
Alan and his dog, Shepp, have achieved an impressive milestone with a total of 3,500 visits, placing them at the forefront of the Therapy Dog Certification program.
